What is a live Event Painter?
It is someone who shows up at an event and does a painting . . . right there in front of people . . . has a good time doing it . . . and creates an unforgettable experience for everyone who watches.
Really? That takes a lot of nerve! What sets Dan apart?
For one thing, Dan has been doing it for nearly 50 years (long before it had a name) and, you know . . . experience teaches you a few things.
The next thing would be: Dan does good paintings in front of people. Go back to the PAINTINGS page on this website; virtually every painting in those albums was done in front of an audience— either live or online. Dan noes not do “performance art”, he does real art— he just does it a little bit fast (that 2-handed thing helps). In addition to that, he has done live event paint in nearly every medium: acrylics, oils, watercolor, chalk, pastel, sand sculpture, street painting, airbrush, portraits, and caricatures . . .
But it may be Dan’s equipment
that puts him in a category by
himself. Dan has designed an
easel to fit every occasion:
• SMALL
(like most artists)
• MEDIUM
(like some)
• LARGE
(like few)
• TRAVEL SIZE
(like nobody)
and
• HUMONGOUS
(Like nobody.
Ever.)
